Men's Golf Signs Three Players to National Letters of Intent

The three golfers will join the Musketeers ahead of the 2024-25 season
CINCINNATI - Xavier head men's golf coach Brian Arlinghaus announced the signing of three players to the 2024-25 roster on Monday afternoon.
2023 SIGNING CLASS
Kellen Dean - Saratoga Springs, N.Y. (Saratoga Springs HS)
Kyle Smith - Canton, Ohio (Green HS)
Leo Walling - Powell, Ohio (St. Charles Preparatory)
KELLEN DEAN
Is a four-year varsity letterwinner in golf... was the 2022 Section 2 Boys Golfer of the Year... earned Section 2 First-Team honors in 2021... named the 2022 Suburban Council Player of the Year... earned All-State honors in 2021 and 2022... earned Suburban Council Medalist honors in 2021 and 2022... led his team to four Suburban Council Championships... led his team to a Section 2 Championship in eighth grade.... placed first at the 2023 NYS Junior Championships... placed seventh at the 2023 Northern Junior Championships... placed 10th at the 2023 AJGA UHY event... placed fourth t the 2022 AJGA UHY event... qualified for the 2022 JR PGA Championships, placing 43rd... sister, Aubrey, is on the Xavier women's lacrosse team.
KYLE SMITH
Is a four-year varsity letterwinner in golf... has been named Federal League Golfer of the Year twice... is a two-time all-conference selection... has led his team to one Federal League Conference Championship... is a three-time OHSAA State Qualifier.
LEO WALLING
Is a four-year varsity letterwinner in golf... led his team to an OHSAA District Championship... took home OHSAA District Medalist honors with a score of 67... qualified for the US Junior in a 5-for-1 playoff... three-time team MVP... earned second-team all-district honors as a freshman... is a three-time all-district first-team honoree... holds the school record for lowest score (67), setting the mark at Scioto and Apple Valley... is a 2x Central Ohio Super 12 honoree... is a four-time CCI All-Conference performer and Co-CCL Champion as a junior... led his team to two sectional championships... has competed in the AJGA, USGA and Golfweek Tournaments... was the CDGA match play champion... qualified for the Ohio Am... placed second at the Darby Creek Golfweek event... has two top-20 finishes at hte Ohio Junior Tournament.
