Xavier Swimming Wraps Up Day One at CSU Magnus Cup

Men are in second, women are in sixth after day one of three-day meet
CLEVELANDÂ - Men's and women's swimming wrapped up day one at CSU Magnus Cup on Thursday evening, with the men sitting in second place and the women sitting in sixth after the first day of the three-day meet.
The Musketeers will be back in action with prelims starting on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Busbey Natatorium.

WOMEN'S NOTABLE
- Xavier's A squad of Olivia Oyster, Molly Dynda, Alexis Worrall and Kali Fischer posted a time of 1:33.09 in the finals to place fifth.
- Jordyn Libler led Xavier in the 50 breast, setting a time of 29.18 in the A-Final.
- Kali Fischer set a time of 4:57.70 in the A-Final of the 500 free to place fifth.
- Julia Sweetman swam the 200 IM in a time of 2:07.70 in the B-Final to lead the Musketeers in finals. She set a time of 2:07.19 in the prelims.
- Olivia Oyster placed third in the A-Final of the 50 free with a time of 23.13 after setting a time of 23.00 in the prelims.
- Reese Turner, Jordyn Libler, Erin Ritz and Olivia Oyster set a time of 3:45.47 in the 400 medley relay to lead the Musketeers.
- Xavier's women stand in sixth place out of 10 teams after day one.

MEN'S NOTABLE
- CJ Sorensen, Matthew Adanin, Aiden Leamer and Kyle Hudson opened the finals with a time of 1:21.95 in the 200 free relay, placing third.
- Brayden Mandacina led Xavier in the A-Final of the 50 breast, setting a time of 26.28. T'Lez Foulkes also took part in the A-Final, finishing in 26.44.
- Luke Peterson placed third in the A-Final of the 500 free with a time of 4:32.05. Ryan Knipp placed fourth, Nathan Wall finished sixth and Caz Mikula placed 10th in the A-Final.
- Michael Benington placed fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:51.50. Aiden Leamer, Aiden Neuman and Jack Parker also competed in the A-Final.
- CJ Sorensen set a time of 20.93 in the A-Final of the 50 free to lead Xavier.
- Michael Benington, Ethan Saunders, Aiden Leamer and Kyle Hudson wrapped up the night with a second place finish in the 400 medley relay, finishing in 3:18.62.
- Xavier's men are in second place with 401 points, trailing hosts Cleveland State.
