Musketeers Earn No. 3 Seed in NCAA Tournament Midwest Region

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's basketball earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament Midwest Region. The Musketeers will take on No. 14 seed Kennesaw State on Friday, March 17 in Greensboro, N.C.

Tip-off is set for 12:40 p.m. from Greensboro Coliseum with the game being aired nationally on TruTV. The game is being broadcast by Ian Eagle, Jim Spanarkel and Evan Washburn.

The Musketeers are making their 29th NCAA Tournament appearance. Xavier is 28-28 all-time in NCAA Tournament games.

Xavier earned an at-large bid to the tournament and enter Friday's matchup with a 25-9 overall record. Xavier has been a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament two other times (2003, 2008).

The Owls are participating in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Kennesaw State earned the ASUN's automatic bid and enter Friday's game with a 26-8 overall record.
