Carson Bellish placed fourth on Tuesday, the highest finish of his Xavier career

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Xavier men's golf placed sixth at the Daytona Beach Spring Invitational hosted by Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday. The two-day tournament was held at LGPA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The sixth-place finish matches the team's highest finish of the 2022-23 season (also placed sixth at the UConn Invitational on Oct. 4).

Embry-Riddle won the tournament by one stroke, posting a score of 879 (+15). Longwood and Loyola Chicago tied for second with scores of 880 (+16). The tournament field consisted of 18 teams.

Carson Bellish paced the Musketeers with the highest finish of his career, placing fourth with a score of 212 (-4). Florida's Ryan Hart took home medalist honors with a score of 207 (-9). The field consisted of 116 golfers.

Bellish's fourth-place finish is the highest individual finish for a Xavier golfer since Oct. 22, 2019 (Imaad Qureshi placed tied for third at the Musketeer Classic).
