Three Musketeers Earn CSCAA Scholar All-American Honors

Both Musketeer squads also named Scholar All-America Team by CSCAA
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Following an outstanding season in the pool and the classroom, three Musketeers, Andrew Martin, Jack Parker and Ethan Saunders, earned Scholar All-American Second Team honors from College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participated in their national championship. Second Team selections also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
Andrew Martin was named the 2023 BIG EAST Most Outstanding Swimmer after earning All-BIG EAST in seven events. Martin, originally from Middleton, Wis., won the mile with a BIG EAST meet record and NCAA B-Cut time of 15:04.12. He also took first in 500 free with a B-Cut time of 4:18.88 and won the 200 free.
Jack Parker earned All-BIG EAST and set an NCAA B-Cut time of 3:50.15 in the 400 IM at the 2023 BIG EAST Championships. Parker, originally from Spartanburg, S.C., set an NCAA B-Cut time and improved his own school record with the time.
Ethan Saunders earned All-BIG EAST in five events at the 2023 meet, including taking the top spot in the 100 breast. Saunders, who is originally from Saline, Mich., took the event title with an NCAA B-Cut time of 53.70.
In addition to Martin, Parker and Saunders' individual accolades, both of Xavier's squads were honored for strong work in the classroom, earning CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams awards, earned by teams posting a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Xavier's women posted a team GPA of 3.71, the highest team GPA among Xavier's programs for Spring 2023, to earn the team honor for the 27th straight semester. The Musketeers also earned the honor during the 2005-06 academic year.
Xavier's men finished with a 3.49 team GPA for Spring 2023, and have now earned the honor from CSCAA in 25 of the last 27 semesters,
