Men's Basketball Closes International Trip with Win Over Bahamas

NASSAU, Bahamas - Xavier men's basketball closed its international trip to the Bahamas by taking a 123-58 win over the Bahamas Raw Talent Elite squad on Thursday evening, going 2-0 on the trip to Baha Mar.
Xavier opened the game with an 18-3 run to take a 15-point lead in the first six minutes and never relinquished the double-figure advantage. The Musketeers led by as many as 29 in the first half, going into the break up 59-32.
The second half started with an 11-0 run for Xavier, which built the lead out to as many as 67 in the final seconds before winning 123-58.
Five Musketeers finished in double figures, led by Quincy Olivari, who finished with 23 points after scoring 21 in the second half, shooting 100 percent from the floor after the half, including going 5-5 from three.
Desmond Claude finished with 22 points after leading the Musketeers with 14 first half points. Claude finished shooting 8-12 from the floor overall, connecting on a pair of threes.
Reid Ducharme added 17 points, shooting 7-10 from the floor. Kachi Nzeh finished with a double-double, scoring 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting and grabbing 10 rebounds. Trey Green added 12 for the Musketeers.
Dayvion McKnight led the Musketeers with 10 assists.
Xavier shot 60.5 percent from the floor, making 12-26 from three, while limiting the Bahamas squad to 24.7 percent shooting. The Musketeers finished with a 67-31 advantage on the boards.
