Zoé Van de Cloot Joins Women’s Soccer Program

Graduate transfer comes to Xavier from Syracuse
CINCINNATI – Xavier women's soccer head coach Dean Ward announced the addition of Zoé Van de Cloot to the women's soccer program. Van de Cloot, a defender originally from Zoersel, Belgium, spent three seasons with the Orange, as well as a season with Central Arkansas. She's also spent time with the Belgian National Team.
Van de Cloot has played in 58 matches for her college career, including 40 matches at Syracuse and 18 at Central Arkansas and has made 52 starts. She has 11 career points on two goals and seven assists.
Van de Cloot is coming off a 2023 season where she started in all 16 matches she appeared in, averaging over 86 minutes per match. She picked up an assist in Syracuse's match against Louisville. She also received an invitation to train with the Belgian National Team in September 2023.
As a junior, she appeared in seven matches, starting in one, helping the Orange to wins over New Hampshire, Cornell and Miami as well as draws against No. 2 Virginia and NC State. She was invited to participate in workouts with the Belgian U-23 team, including playing in a friendly with Sweden.
In her first two seasons of collegiate soccer, she made 17 starts for Syracuse and 18 starts for Central Arkansas. She collected 10 points during her freshman season, scoring two goals and dishing out six assists.
