
Women's Golf Finishes Seventh at White Sands Bahamas Invite

The Musketeers posted a 36-hole score of 610 (+38)
PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas - Xavier women's golf placed seventh at the White Sands Bahamas Invite on Sunday afternoon. The tournament was held at the Club House Ocean Club Golf Course.
The tournament was shortened to a 36-hole event during to inclement weather on Oct. 18.
The Musketeers posted a 36-hole score of 610 (+38), finishing seventh in a field of 10 teams. Kansas placed first with a score of 587 (+15), while Purdie finished second (589, +17).
Individually, Madison Reemsnyder led the Musketeers with a seventh-place finish in a field of 62 golfers. She posted a 36-hole score of 147 (+4). Reemsnyder now has two top-10 finishes this season (six career top-10 finishes).
Chantal El Chaib (Georgia) and Natasha Kiel (Purdue) took home medalist honors with scores of 141 (-2).
The course was set to a par 71 on Saturday due to windy conditions and played as a par 72 on Sunday.
Xavier opens its spring season on Feb. 21-23 at the WMU Rio Verde Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz.
