Musketeers and Norse get underway at 1 PM; Senior Day is set for 12:45 PM
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's and women's swimming will host Northern Kentucky for the Musketeers' Senior Day meet, on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Heidt Family Champions Center. Senior Day is set fo 12:45 p.m. start, with the meet with the Norse set for a 1:00 p.m. start.

OPPONENT NOTES
- This is the inaugural season of swimming for NKU.
- The Norse competed in the program's first meet on October 5, taking on IU Indy and Southern Indiana at the IU Indy Natatorium.
- The NKU men fell to USI 131-98, and to IU Indy, 197-37.
- The Norse women fell to USI, 193-5, and IU Indy 160-7.Â
LAST TIME OUT - WOMEN
- Xavier's women picked up the team win at Denison, taking first in 10 events on the way to the 144-118 win over the Big Red.
- Reese Turner, Jordyn Libler, Erin Ritz and Olivia Oyster opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, setting a time of 1:43.80.
- Teegan Madara led Xavier in the 1000 free, playing second with a time of 10:36.73. Abby Bocian placed third.Â
- Olivia Oyster won the 200 free, setting a time of 1:52.65. Alexis Worrall finished second.
- Reese Turner took second in the 100 back with a time of 58.59. Maggie O'Toole finished third.
- Jordyn Libler swept the breast stroke events, taking first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:03.21. She also won the 200 breast with a time of 2:19.96.
- Norah Simich won the 200 fly, finishing in a time of 2:02.32. Ava Tenhundfeld place third.
- Olivia Oyster collected another first-place finish, winning the 50 free with a time of 22.93.
- Alexis Worrall won the 100 free with a time of 52.31.
- Maggie O'Toole led Xavier in the 200 back with a time of 2:08.95.
- Teegan Madara also led Xavier in the 500 free, finishing in a time of 5:13.31. Mary Sweetman finished third.
- Norah Simich competed the sweep of the butterfly events with a time of 56.10 to take first in the 100 fly.Â
- Julia Sweetman took first in the 200 IM, setting a time of 2:09.75. Jordyn Libler placed third.
- Alexis Worrall, Norah Simich, Reese Turner and Olivia Oyster wrapped up the women's side fo the meet with a first place finish in the 200 free relay, setting a time of 1:35.37.
LAST TIME OUT - MEN
- Xavier's men were last in action at Denison, falling to the Big Red by a score of 173-84.
- The Musketeers opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay, with Matt Fralic, Ethan Saunders, Aiden Leamer and Kyle Hudson setting a time of 1:31.50.
- Ethan Leamer led Xavier in the 1000 free with a time of 9:47.63.
- Luke Peterson took second in the 200 free with a time of 1:43.27.
- Matt Fralic led Xavier in the 100 back with a time of 52.38.
- Ethan Saunders placed second in the 100 breast, finishing in 57.02.
- Aiden Leamer won the 200 fly, setting a time of 1:49.27. Leamer led Xavier in the 200 IM as well, finishing in 1:54.40
- Kyle Hudson's time of 21.50 led Xavier in the 50 free, placing third. He also led the Musketeers in the 100 free with a time of 47.41.
- Ryan Knipp led Xavier in the 200 back, setting a time of 1:56.48. Knipp also set a time of 4:47.30 in the 500 free to lead the Musketeers.
- Nathan Wall placed second in the 200 breast with a time of 2:06.53.
- Luke Peterson led Xavier in the 100 fly with a time of 51.66.
- Max Ward, Ethan Saunders, Kyle Hudson and Aiden Leamer set a time of 1:24.23 in the 200 free relay to lead Xavier.
XAVIER MEN
- Eight of the 10 Musketeers who earned All-BIG EAST last season return for Xavier.Â
- Ethan Saunders earned the honor in six events to lead the Musketeers.
- Returner Aiden Leamer also earned all-conference in multiple events and set an NCAA B-Cut time in the 200 fly.
- All-BIG EAST honorees Matthew Adanin, Gage Hannewyk, Kyle Hudson, Ryan Knipp, Luke Peterson and Nathan Wall also return for the Musketeers.
- Xavier collected 10 gold medals at last season's BIG EAST Championships including going 5-for-5 on first place finishes in relays, finishing runners-up in the team standings.
XAVIER WOMEN
- Xavier returns six of the nine Musketeers that earned All-BIG EAST last season.Â
- Olivia Oyster led the Musketeers with all-conference performances in five events in 2023-24, including posting an NCAA B-Cut time in the 50 free.
- Jordyn Libler and Erin Ritz each earned All-BIG EAST and each set a pair of NCAA B-Cut times at the event as well.
- All-BIG EAST honorees Norah Simich, Reese Turner, Alexis Worrall also return this season.
- At last year's BIG EAST Championships, the Musketeer women collected a program-best five gold medals and set new program records nine events on the way to a fourth-place finish.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
- The Xavier squad will wrap up the fall semester at the CSU Magnus Cup, held at Busbey Natatorium in Cleveland, Ohio. The event runs from Thursday, Nov. 21 through 23, with prelims set for 9:00 a.m. each day and finals set for 6:00 p.m. each evening.
- At last year's meet, Xavier's men took a second-place finish, competing against six teams, while the women placed seventh out of 12 schools.
- Jordyn Libler bested her own school record time in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.51 while Aiden Leamer took first in the 200 fly.
BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIPS SCHEDULE UPDATE
- The 2025 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships have been moved up to start on Monday, February 24, 2025Â and run through Thursday, February 27.
- The championship meet will be held at the SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland, for the first time since 2021.
