CINCINNATI - The Xavier volleyball team's season came to an end on Sunday afternoon after a 3-0 loss (13-25, 16-25, 16-25) to No. 5 Creighton.

The Bluejays came out strong in the first set with an 8-0 run while holding the Musketeers to just four kills in the opening frame.

Xavier bounced back with an early 4-0 run in the second set to take a 9-5 lead. Yet after trailing for most of the set, Creighton responded with a 9-0 run of their own to claim a 2-0 lead.

The Musketeers hit .296 in the final set but were overpowered by the Bluejays' .469 in the third.

Xavier ends the season in seventh place in the BIG EAST standings, just one spot shy of making the BIG EAST Tournament.

Emma Grace led the team offensively with seven kills and five digs.
Lucia Corsaro recorded her eighth-straight match in double figure with 10 digs and four assists.
Logan Flaugh contributed 18 assists, eight digs and three kills.
Anna Taylor and Margo Kemp each added four kills.
The Musketeers were held to just a .100 clip, their lowest output of the season.
Creighton hit a massive .449 in the match with three players hitting above .450.
Xavier recorded 24 kills, 29 digs and three aces in the match.
