Xavier scored a Cintas Center record 119 points on Tuesday night
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's basketball defeated Morgan State, 119-58, on Tuesday night at Cintas Center.
The 119 points is a new Cintas Center record and the 61-point victory is the largest margin of victory in school history.
Xavier returns to action in the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout at No. 22 Cincinnati on Dec. 14. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. from Fifth Third Arena with the game being streamed on ESPN+.

NOTABLE
- Xavier never trailed and led by as many as 32 points in the first half (46-14) with 5:15 on the clock. The Musketeers hit 61.3 percent (19-for-31) of their shot attempts in the first half, taking a 52-24 advantage into the locker room. It was Xavier's largest halftime lead since Dec. 15, 2021 vs Morehead State (47-18 halftime score). Zach Freemantle had 16 points and nine rebounds in the first half.
- The Musketeers kept up the strong shooting, outscoring the Bears, 67-34, in the second half - pulling away for the 61-point victory (a new program record). Xavier's previous largest margin of victory was 58 points on Jan. 15, 1990 vs District of Columbia (W, 110-52).
- The 119 points was a Cintas Center record for the Musketeers (the previous record was 117 points vs Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 9, 2012). The 119 points is the most in a game by Xavier since March 12, 1998 vs Detroit in the Midwestern Collegiate Tournament (W, 122-96) and the sixth highest total in school history.
- Xavier posted a season-high .603 field-goal percentage (41-for-68), the highest field-goal percentage by the Musketeers since Dec. 16, 2022 (.603 field-goal percentage vs Georgetown; W, 102-89).
- Xavier knocked down 12 three pointers, the fifth time this season the Musketeers have made 10 or more three pointers in a game (had a season-high 16 three pointers vs Jackson State on Nov. 12, 2024).
- The Musketeers also went 25-for-34 from the foul line, the third time this season Xavier has made 25 or more free throws.
- Zach Freemantle led five Musketeers in double figures with 27 points on 8-for-11 shooting. He added a game-high 10 rebounds as the senior forward posted his third double-double of the season. He now has 23 career double-doubles.
- Marcus Foster scored 18 points on 7-for-11 shooting with four 3-pointers. He added five rebounds and two assists.
- Ryan Conwell added 15 points on 4-for-7 shooting to go along with four assists and two rebounds.
- Dayvion McKnight and Dante Maddox Jr. both finished with 11 points. McKnight added four rebounds and two assists, while Maddox Jr. added four rebounds, four assists and two steals.
- Dailyn Swain posted nine points, eight rebounds and three steals. Cam Fletcher had eight points and six rebounds, while John Hugley IV posted six points and seven rebounds.
- Xavier committed a season-low six turnovers, the fewest in a game for the Musketeers since Jan. 23, 2024 at Creighton (five turnovers; L, 85-78).
- Xavier held a 16-7 advantage in points off of turnovers and won the battle on the glass, 54-25. The 54 rebounds are the most in a game by Xavier since Jan. 6, 2021 vs St. John's (W, 69-61).
- Xavier also held a 56-30 advantage in points in the paint and scored 28 more fastbreak points (32-4). The Musketeers scored 18 more second-chance points (22-4) than the Bears and held a 39-30 advantage in bench points.
