BERKELEY, Calif. - Xavier women's basketball dropped its opening game of the Raising the B.A.R. Invitational to Temple, 66-51, on Saturday night at Haas Pavilion.
The Musketeers move to 4-7 on the year, while the Owls improve to 6-4.

NOTABLE
- The opening quarter had two lead changes and one tie. With the game knotted at 5-5 with 8:15 on the clock, the Owls outscored the Musketeers, 13-5, to close the frame and take an eight-point lead (18-10). Xavier closed within six points twice in the second quarter, but Temple closed the half on a 6-0 run on back-to-back three pointers - taking a 38-24 advantage into the locker room.
- Loren Christie and Daniela López paced the Musketeers with six points at the break. Irune Orio led the team with three rebounds.
- Temple led by as many as 19 points, 48-29, with 6:02 on the clock in the third quarter. The Musketeers battled back to close within 10 points (61-51) on an Aizhanique Mayo three pointer with 4:43 left in regulation.
- The Owls ended the game on a 5-0 run to pull away for the victory.
- Daniela López scored a team-high 12 points on 4-for-6 shooting, her third straight game in double figures. She now has 10 career double-figure scoring games.
- Petra Oborilova scored a season-high 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting. She now has nine career double-figure scoring games.
- Aizhanique Mayo rounded out the double-figure scorers with 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting. She now has 13 career double-figure scoring games.
- Temple won the battle on the glass, 45-27. Irune Orio led Xavier with five rebounds, while Júlia Garcia Roig added four.
- Júlia Garcia Roig dished out a game-high five assists to go along with four points and two steals.
- Xavier made a season-high 11 three pointers. The last time Xavier made 11 three pointers in a game was on Dec. 20, 2023 vs DePaul; L, 76-55).
- Xavier hit 40.8 percent of its shot attempts (20-for-49) and went 11-for-26 from behind the arc. The Musketeers were also 0-for-4 from the foul line.
- Temple posted a .400 field-goal percentage (26-for-65) and went 9-for-18 from behind the arc. The Owls were also 5-for-9 from the charity stripe.
- Temple scored 23 more second-chance points (26-3) than Xavier and held a 16-13 advantage in points off of turnovers. The Owls also scored 14 more points in the paint (24-10).
- Xavier held a 23-14 advantage in bench points. Both teams scored two fastbreak points.
- Tiarra East led all scored with 20 points. Tarriyonna Gary added 18 points, while Amaya Oliver finished with a double-double (12 points, 14 rebounds).
