Volleyball Adds Transfer Ahead of 2025 Season

Macy Hatkevich is a sophomore setter joining the team from University of Toledo.
CINCINNATI - Head coach Christy Pfeffenberger announced the addition of transfer Macy Haktevich to the 2025 volleyball roster.Â
"Macy will add to our competitive gym. She has a fire and spunk to her that can't be taught," said Pfeffenberger. "Macy is a winner and we are thrilled to have her as a Musketeer."
Hatkevich joins the Musketeers from Toledo where she played for two years as a setter. The 5-foot-8 sophomore started in all 32 matches for the Rockets and totaled 976 assists on the season, ranking sixth in the MAC. She averaged 8.49 assists per set, good for fifth in the conference. She also contributed 2.26 digs per set and 0.25 aces per set. Hatkevich earned Setter of the Week honors twice last season and tallied a career-high 53 assists vs. Central Michigan on October 10.Â
She earned a spot on the All-MAC Freshman Team in 2023 after starting in 22 of Toledo's 26 matches played. As a rookie, she registered a team-high 8.77 assists per set to rank sixth in the MAC.Â
The Granger, Indiana native amassed 1,774 assists, 449 digs, 111 kills, 57 aces and 47 blocks in her two year career at Toledo. She notched her 1,000th career assist on September 21 against South Dakota State.
