Four Volleyball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

The four athletes maintained at least a 3.5 GPA.
CINCINNATI - Four Xavier volleyball players were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Margo Kemp, Charlotte Moriarty, Kelsey Niesen and Anna Taylor all earned the honors for Xavier.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA or higher.
Kemp is a redshirt sophomore middle blocker majoring in biological sciences for business. She competed in 30 matches this season, totaling 212 kills, 111 blocks and 286 points. The King of Prussia, Penn. native was a Preseason All-BIG EAST Team selection this season. She earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week once and was a Weekly Honor Roll selection twice. Kemp is earning her second CSC Academic All-District honor and is a two-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team honoree.
Moriarty is a sophomore outside hitter majoring in exercise science. She played in all 31 matches this season, recording 244 kills, 212 digs, 33 blocks and 11 aces. The LaGrange, Ky. native earned a spot on the Golden Grizzlies Invite All-Tournament Team after helping Xavier to a 3-0 weekend at Oakland. Moriarty was also a 2024-25 BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection.
Niesen is a sophomore libero majoring in psychology. She played in all 31 matches at libero, leading the team with 439 digs and 31 aces. The Cincinnati native was named the Golden Grizzlies Invite MVP after leading the Musketeers to a 3-0 weekend at Oakland. She earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career for her performance in Xavier's 2-0 weekend on the road against Marquette and DePaul. Niesen was also named to the 2024-25 BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
Taylor is a redshirt senior right side hitter pursuing her master's in business administration. She played in all 31 matches, accumulating 289 kills, 60 blocks and 321 points to earn a spot on the All-BIG EAST Team. The St. Louis native was named the Stacheville Challenge MVP after leading the Musketeers to a 3-0 opening weekend at Austin Peay. She was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll once this season and earned a spot on the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team after helping XU to its second ever BIG EAST Championship match appearance. Taylor is earning her fourth straight CSC Academic All-District honor and has been named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team four times.
