Quincy Olivari leads Musketeers with 25 points

NEWARK, N.J. - Quincy Olivari led a pair of Musketeers in double figures as Xavier fell 88-70 to Seton Hall at the Prudential Center on Wednesday evening. Xavier moved to 13-12 overall and 7-7 in BIG EAST play

Seton Hall jumped out to a 16-2 lead in the first eight minutes of the play after the Musketeers connected on just one of their first eight field goal attempts. Xavier was unable to close the gap back to single digits, trailing by as many as 24 in the first half before going into the break down 47-25. Dayvion McKnight and Saša Ciani each had six points to lead Xavier in the first half.

After the Pirates maintained the 20-plus point lead to open the second half, Xavier went on a 9-0 run to cut the advantage back to 15, 61-46, with 11 minutes left. The Musketeers would get with in14 in the final 10 minutes, but were unable to get any closer, falling by a final score of 88-70. Quincy Olivari led Xavier with 21 second half points.

Dayvion McKnight added 11 points for the Musketeers, shooting 6-of-7 from the free throw line.
Kachi Nzeh finished with eight points, shooting 4-of-6 from the floor for a new career high.
Saša Ciani matched his career-high with seven points, grabbed five rebounds and had a career-high five assists.
After shooting 33.3 percent in the first half, the Musketeers shot over 55 percent in the second half, outscoring the Pirates 45-41 after the break.
