
Swimming Wins Three Events, Sets Three School Records in Day One at BIG EAST

Xavier sweeps 200 medley relays, men win 800 free relay as well
INDIANAPOLIS – Xavier men's and women's swimming combined for three gold medals and three school record during the opening night of the 2024 BIG EAST Championships. Xavier's men are in first place after winning both events on the men's side, and the women are in fourth place after winning one of two racing events, and not competing in a diving event.

WOMEN'S NOTABLE
- Xavier's women's team opened the meet with a gold medal in the 200 medley relay, with Reese Turner, Jordyn Libler, Erin Ritz and Olivia Oyster setting a school-record time of 1:39.95 to win the event for the first time since 2019.
- Kali Fischer, Alexis Worrall, Olivia Oyster and Clara Keiser combined for a school-record time of 7:16.03 in the 800 free, placing second.
- The Musketeers have 120 points, sitting in fourth place of seven teams after three events, including a diving event in which Xavier did not compete.

- Kyle Hudson, Luke Peterson, Ryan Knipp and Nathan Wall set a time of 6:32.72 in the 800 free relay to take first
- After sweeping the two events contested so far, Xavier has 80 points to sit in first place.
