
Laila Hankerson Earns All-BIG EAST Honors

The freshman sprinter earned a bronze medal in the 60-meter dash
NEW YORK -Â Laila Hankerson was named to the All-BIG EAST Team on Wednesday afternoon. The freshman sprinter is the first Musketeer to earn the honors at a BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championship since 2020 (Anna Kostarellis - 3rd place - 5,000-meter run).
Hankerson placed third in the 60-meter dash (7.59) at the BIG EAST Championships on Feb. 24. The Charlotte, N.C., native holds the school record in the 60-meter dash, while ranking second in the 200-meter dash.
Hankerson and the Musketeers open the 2024 outdoor track and field season at the Blizzard Buster on March 22 in Oxford, Ohio.
