Free admission will begin ahead of the 2024-25 academic year
CINCINNATI - Xavier Athletics has announced complimentary admission to all home regular-season baseball, lacrosse and soccer contests ahead of the 2024-25 academic year.
Â
"We made this change with the intent to engage our community and remove an obstacle for some fans," said Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations Brian Hicks. "This change will bring more people to Xavier's campus and maximize the fan and student-athlete experience.
Â
"In addition to breaking down the cost barrier, we believe this initiative will also assist in increasing participation in Olympic sports in the greater Cincinnati area."
Â
Soccer has continued to rise in popularity, especially in southwest Ohio. Women's lacrosse will enter its third season at Xavier next spring, and the sport is experiencing a similar rise in popularity in our region while college baseball also continues to grow. Lacrosse and baseball are among five new sports being added to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.Â
Â
For more information, or for those interested in bringing groups to those sports offering complimentary admission, contact the Xavier Athletics Marketing Office at 513-745-3389.
Â
Patrons interested in supporting Xavier Olympic Sports can still make donations through the All For One Fund directly impacting the varsity program of their choice. Not only does the gift support Xavier student-athletes, donors can also receive benefits like reserved parking on game days. For more information contact the All For One Fund via email at afo@xavier.edu.
Â
Xavier will continue to sell season, group and single-game tickets for regular-season contests for men's and women's basketball and volleyball. Fans interested in purchasing those tickets can visit GoXavier.com/BuyTickets or by calling (513) 745-3411 x7.
