Xavier posted a 54-hole score of 863 (-1) at the three-day tournament

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Xavier women's golf won the 50th Lady Paladin Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The three-day tournament was hosted by Furman at the Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C.

Xavier posted a 54-hole score of 863 (-1) in a field of 13 teams, finishing six strokes ahead of Western Kentucky (896, +5). Furman finished third with a score of 871 (+7).

Individually, Keira Gonzalez-McCarthy (Augusta) took home medalist honors with a score of 208 (-8), finishing ahead of two Western Kentucky golfers who posted scores of 209 (-7).

Kara Carter and Madison Reemsnyder placed tied for eighth (214, -2) to pace the Musketeers. Carter now has 12 career top-10 finishes, while Reemsnyder has six.

Since the start of the 2022-23 season, the Musketeers have posted 13 top-five finishes with five tournament titles and three runner-up finishes.

Xavier returns to action on Oct. 4-6 at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Denver, Colo.
