Ryan Conwell Earns A Spot On This Week's BIG EAST Honor Roll

This is the second time this season that Conwell has earned the honor.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University junior Ryan Conwell has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll on for the second time this season. Conwell averaged 20 points and 2.5 assist per game in two XU wins this past week, Villanova on Jan. 14 and at Marquette on Jan. 18. Conwell also earned a spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Nov. 18.
Conwell scored a collegiate career-high 34 points (28 in the second half) in the win over Villanova, while tying his collegiate high for 3-pointers with six and setting new collegiate highs for free throws made (12) and attempted (14).
Conwell, a preseason Third Team All-BIG EAST selection, is second on the team and seventh in the BIG EAST in scoring at 16.5 ppg. Conwell is third in the BIG EAST and 31st in the nation at 3.0 3-point field goals made per game and his 57 total 3-pointers made rank second in the BIG EAST and 19th in the nation. He is 14th in the BIG EAST in 3-point percentage at 39.3 percent.
Xavier, 12-7 overall and 4-4 in the BIG EAST Conference, takes a three-game winning streak to New York this week for a Wednesday rematch with St. John's.
