Olivia Oyster Picks Up BIG EAST Swimming Athlete of the Week Honors

Senior was the top point scorer on the women’s side at IU Indy Invite
NEW YORK - Xavier swimming's Olivia Oyster picked up the first BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week honors of 2025-26, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Oyster, a senior from Delaware, Ohio, led the Musketeers in the freestyle sprints against Louisville in the first dual of the season. She finished the 50 free in a time of 23.09 and then placed third in the 100 free with a time of 51.04. Oyster was also part of the A-squad that opened the meet with a time of 1:43.84 in the 200 medley relay and then helped Xavier set a time of 3:33.75 in the 400 free relay, scoring in second place.
At the IU Indy Invite, Oyster was the top point scorer on the women's side after winning a pair of individual events. She took the top spot in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.59, and won the 100 free with a time of 50.61. She was also part of the Xavier A-team that opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:48.40 and helped the Musketeers close the meet with a time of 1:37.57 in the 200 free relay, finishing third.
The Musketeers return to action this weekend, traveling the Akron, Ohio, to take part in the Akron Zips Classic, running Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11.
