Dante Maddox Jr. Earns A Spot On The BIG EAST Honor Roll

Maddox scored a Xavier career-high 24 points at Villanova.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University graduate student Dante Maddox Jr. has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after averaging 15.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two games this past week. He shot 75 percent (9-12) overall for the week, including 75 percent (6-8) from 3-point territory.
Maddox scored a Xavier career-high 24 points at Villanova on Sunday, Feb. 9, hitting 7-10 from the field, including 4-6 from 3-point range. He hit two big second-half 3-pointers in the win over Georgetown on Feb. 4.
Maddox is the fourth Musketeer to earn a spot on the weekly honor roll this season, joining junior Ryan Conwell (twice) and graduate students Dayvion McKnight (once) and Zach Freemantle (twice).
Xavier, 14-10 overall and 6-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, visits Providence on Wednesday.
