Xavier Wins Second Straight Tournament, Captures Wexford Intercollegiate Title

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Xavier University delivered a dominant performance at the Wexford Intercollegiate, finishing 1-under par for the tournament to claim its second straight stroke play title. The Musketeers built on their second-round lead and closed strong with a final-round 4-under (284) to secure a eight-shot victory over No. 14 USC Aiken (+7).

Xavier led the field in both par 3 scoring and par 5 scoring and were second in birdies made.

KEY PERFORMANCES

Ray Filter led the way for Xavier, carding a final-round 2-under 70 to finish the tournament at 5-under par, capping off his first collegiate tournament win. He showcased consistency with back-to-back 35s on the front and back nines, highlighted by a birdie on 17 and a strong par-save on 9.
Carson Bellish and Zach Burton also delivered in the clutch, both firing 1-under 71s to keep Xavier ahead of the field. Bellish's 34 on the back nine, including a birdie at the tough par-3 14th, provided a critical boost. Burton remained steady throughout, finishing even-par for the tournament.
Kellen Dean turned in an even-par 72, while A.J. Wilhelm battled through some early struggles to post 76 (+4).

BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPIONS
