The two-day tournament is being played at the historic Mid Pines Club on March 10-11
CINCINNATI - Xavier University's men's golf team is set to take on a strong field at the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate, hosted at the historic Mid Pines Club on March 10-11. The Musketeers will join 19 other Division I programs in a 54-hole battle on one of Donald Ross's purest designs, competing in a tournament that is breaking new ground with live streaming and alternative broadcasts by Babygrande Golf.
Led by a talented core of players, Xavier will look to make a statement in Southern Pines. The lineup features Ray Filter, Carson Bellish, Kellen Dean, Zach Burton, and AJ Wilhelm, all of whom bring valuable experience and skill to the event.
The Musketeers will face a diverse field that includes teams from across the country, such as Bowling Green State, Toledo, , Georgetown, Seton Hall, Chattanooga, and defending champion Loyola University Maryland. The tournament, now in its fifth year, has become a proving ground for top collegiate talent, and Xavier will aim to position itself among the contenders.
Adding to the excitement, Babygrande Golf will provide live coverage of the event, with an alternative broadcast, The No Glaze Zone, airing at 2 p.m. ET each day. The tournament will feature commentary from former PGA TOUR players Tripp Isenhour and Steve Scott, longtime Golf Channel broadcaster David Marr III, and University of Virginia women's head coach Ria Scott.
Mid Pines, an original 1921 Donald Ross design, remains one of the most authentic Ross layouts in the country, having undergone a meticulous restoration by Kyle Franz in 2013. The course's natural beauty, strategic bunkering, and undulating greens will provide a true test for the field.
With momentum on their side and a determined squad, Xavier will look to capitalize on this national stage and compete for both individual and team honors. Live scoring and tee times will be available via Scoreboard throughout the event.
