Musketeers Place Fifth at Peoples Golf Championship

ST. SIMONS, ISLAND, Ga. - Xavier men's golf placed fifth at the Peoples Golf Championship on Saturday, March 15. The three-day tournament was played at The Club at Sea Palms.

The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 857 (+5), placing fifth in a field of 20 teams. UNCG won the tournament with a score of 831 (-21).

Xavier has now posted six top-five tournament finishes this season.

Individually, Carson Bellish placed tied for sixth with a 54-hole score of 209 (-4) - the 10th top-10 finish of his career.

Drexel's Drue Nicholas took home medalist honors, posting a 54-hole score of 201 (-12) in a field of 120 golfers.

Xavier continues it season on March 22 at The Indy at Arlington in Richmond, Ky.
