UNCASVILLE, Conn. - No. 11 seed Xavier fell in the BIG EAST Tournament Quarterfinals to No. 3 seed Seton Hall, 48-40, on Saturday night at Mohegan Sun Arena.

- Xavier opened the game game on a 9-2 run capped by an Irune Orio three pointer at the 4:28 mark. The Musketeers limited Seton Hall to 0-for-9 shooting to start the game. Xavier led by as many as 12 points (14-2) with 2:06 on the clock and led by nine points (14-9) after 10 minutes of action. Xavier limited Seton Hall to only one field goal (1-for-15) in the opening frame.
- The Musketeers outscored Seton Hall, 11-10, in the second quarter to take a 10-point lead (25-15) into the locker room. Aizhanique Mayo led Xavier with five points at the break. Defensively, the Musketeers limited the Pirates to a .154 field-goal percentage (4-for-26).
