Anthony Robinson and Filip Borovicanin signed athletic aid agreements.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University men's basketball head coach Richard Pitino announced today that he has received signed athletic aid agreements from a pair of transfer student-athletes, 6-10 forward/center Anthony Robinson and 6-9 forward Filip Borovicanin. Robinson, who is from Peachtree City, Ga., played last season as a redshirt freshman at Virginia and Borovicanin, a native of Belgrade, Serbia, played last season under Pitino at New Mexico after two seasons at Arizona.
"We are excited about the additions of Filip and Anthony," said Pitino. "Filip was an integral part of our success last season. We fully expect him to play a big role on our team moving forward. He's got size and skill to make an impact right away. Anthony is athletic, physical and has tremendous upside. Both are great kids and will be terrific representatives of our program on campus and in the community."
Robinson played in 26 games for the Cavaliers in the 2024-25 season, averaging 3.6 points and 2.4 rebounds, while shooting 72.1 percent from the field and 62 percent from the free throw line.
Borovicanin played in all 35 games in the 2024-25 season for Pitino's New Mexico squad, starting 29 times. Borovicanin averaged 5.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per game for a Lobo squad that finished 27-8 overall record and reached the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament with a first-round win over Marquette. New Mexico posted a 17-3 league record and won the 2024-25 Mountain West Conference Regular Season Championship.
