Individually, Ray Filter ranks tied for seventh (68, -2)

WAYNESVILLE, N.C. - Xavier Men's Golf completed the opening round of the 2025 JT Poston Invitational on Sunday at Waynesville Inn & Country Club, led by junior Ray Filter's 2-under-par 68. Filter's steady play included 4 birdies, positioning him inside the top 10 of the individual leaderboard.

Freshman Cayse Morgan and senior Carson Bellish each turned in rounds of 71 (+1). Morgan opened with an even-par 34 on the front before carding a 37 on the back, while Bellish overcame a 3-over start by posting a 2-under 34 on the inward nine.

Sophomore Kellen Dean and senior Zach Burton each posted rounds of 73 (+3) to round out the Musketeers' scoring. Dean picked up momentum with a birdie on the par-3 fourth, while Burton held even-par on the back nine.

The Musketeers sit in solid position heading into Monday's second round, with four players inside the top half of the field.
