Volleyball Tops IU Indy in Home Opener

Emma Grace recorded her third straight double-double with 20 kills and 13 digs.
CINCINNATI - The Xavier volleyball team defeated IU Indy, 3-1, in the Musketeers' 2025 home opener.
Both teams started slow for a combined .069 hitting percentage in the first set as IU Indy pulled out a close opening frame.
The Musketeers responded with a dominant offensive outing in the second set with veterans Anna Taylor and Emma Grace each recording six kills.
Xavier closed out the final set hitting .478 with just one error.
XU improves to 4-0 with the win while handing the Jaguars their first loss of the season to fall to 3-1.

Xavier returns to action against Miami (Ohio) on Friday night for game two in the Xavier Tournament. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m. in Cintas Center.
