Boehm, Hatkevich Pick Up BIG EAST Weekly Honors

Macy Hatkevich was named Setter of the Week and McKinley Boehm was named Freshman of the Week.
NEW YORK - Macy Hatkevich was named BIG EAST Setter of the Week while McKinley Boehm was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the first time in both players' careers. Emma Grace was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fifth time in her career.
Hatkevich led the BIG EAST with 9.92 assists per set last week as the Musketeers went 3-0 in the Xavier Tournament.
The Toledo transfer notched a career-high 56 assists in the five-set win over Miami (OH) on Friday night. She also recorded 10 digs in the match to tab her first double-double at Xavier.
The junior had 42 assists with six digs and five kills in Saturday night's win over Eastern Kentucky to claim the Xavier Tournament crown. She led the Musketeers' offense to a .253 clip throughout the weekend.
Boehm was dominant at the net, accumulating 19 blocks including five solos over the weekend to earn her first BIG EAST accolade.
The redshirt freshman leads the BIG EAST with 1.46 blocks per set to help the Musketeers lead the league with 2.79 blocks per set.
She matched her career-high nine blocks in the win over Miami (OH) and totaled seven blocks the night before against IU Indy.
The middle blocker capped off the weekend with a career-high nine kills on a .600 clip against Eastern Kentucky to earn a spot on the Xavier Tournament All-Tournament Team.
Emma Grace earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll after leading the league with 4.54 kills per set.
The redshirt senior notched a double-double in all three matches over the weekend including two 20+ kill performances.
She tallied a new career-high 23 kills against Miami (OH) and nearly matched her dig record with 27.
She had 20 kills and 13 digs while hitting .333 against IU Indy and closed the weekend with 16 kills and 13 digs against Eastern Kentucky.
The undefeated Xavier volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday against rival Cincinnati. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. at Fifth Third Arena.
