Tre Carroll Earns BIG EAST Honors For The Third Time This Season

Carroll led Xavier with 29 points, nine rebounds and five blocks vs. Butler.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier graduate student Tre Carroll has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll after scoring a game-high 29 points in the Jan. 14 win over Butler, just missing a double-double with nine rebounds; he also added a collegiate career-high five blocks. Carroll has earned BIG EAST weekly honors three times this season. He was BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 8 and selected to the Honor Roll on Dec. 22.
Carroll leads the team in scoring at 16.7 ppg. (second in the BIG EAST) and is second in rebounds (11th in the BIG EAST at 5.8 rpg.) and blocks (seventh in the BIG EAST at 1.2 bpg.). He is second in the BIG EAST in field goal percentage (.484).
Carroll is one of four Musketeers to earn a BIG EAST honor so far this season, joining senior Malik Messina-Moore (Honor Roll on Jan. 12), sophomore Jovan Milićević (Honor Roll on Nov. 24) and senior Filip Borovićanin (Honor Roll on Dec. 1 and Dec. 15).
Xavier, 11-7 overall and 3-4 in the BIG EAST Conference, takes a two-game winning streak to Creighton for a Wednesday night BIG EAST contest.
