Tre Carroll Named To The BIG EAST Honor Roll For A Second-Straight Week

Carroll has earned weekly league honors four times this season.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier graduate student Tre Carroll has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll, the fourth time this season he has earned BIG EAST honors, including the second-straight week.
Carroll was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after averaging 30.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per game in games this past week at Creighton on Jan. 21 and vs. St. John's on Jan. 24. He shot 66.7 percent (24-36) from the field for the week, including 62.5 percent (5-8) from 3-point territory. His 31 points vs. St. John's set a new collegiate career high point total.
Carroll leads the BIG EAST Conference in scoring at 18.0 ppg and is second in the league in field goal percentage at 50.7 percent. Carroll leads Xavier in blocks at 1.3 bpg. (sixth in the BIG EAST) and is second on the team in rebounding at 5.6 rpg. (12th in the BIG EAST).
Carroll was also named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Jan. 19 and Dec. 22, while earning BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 8.
Carroll is one of four Musketeers to earn a BIG EAST honor so far this season, joining senior Malik Messina-Moore (Honor Roll on Jan. 12), sophomore Jovan Milićević (Honor Roll on Nov. 24) and senior Filip Borovićanin (Honor Roll on Dec. 1 and Dec. 15).
