Bode Campbell and Tony Sifuentes Win Doubles Bracket at Wake Forest Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Bode Campbell and Tony Sifuentes took the top spot in their doubles bracket as Xavier men's tennis took part in the Wake Forest Invitational over the weekend.

In singles play, Bode Campbell with three wins, with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Mercer's Howell Burns, and a 6-4, 6-4 win over Oliver Pettigrove of Georgia Southern. He also topped Maksim Mihic of North Carolina A&T on a walk-over.

Max Pettingell finished singles with a with over Connor Cole of Davidson, 7-5, 6-2, and Ethan Boswell of JMU, 6-2, 6-4, as well as a walkover win vs. Davide Procacci of Davidson.

Andrew Spurck had a pair of singles wins, over Aurelien Schmitt of JMU, 6-4, 6-1, and Kaua Santos of North Carolina A&T, 6-2, 6-3.

Nick Herdoiza defeated Theo Mottier of VCU, 7-5, 6-4. He also picked up a win vs Gregorio Hidalgo of Davidson on a walkover.

Tony Sifuentes had a pair of walkover wins, over Davide Procacci of Davidson and Maksim Mihic of North Carolina A&T. Lukas Grossman had a win on a walkover vs. Mathieu Dussaubat of North Carolina A&T.

In doubles play, Tony Sifuentes and Bode Campbell combined to win their bracket, advancing after an injury to Mihic and Collidor of North Carolina A&T, taking a 6-3 win over Bayon dnd Thurgur of UNC Charlotte, then clinching the bracket win with a 6-4 win over Yassine and Muenster of UNC Charlotte.

Andrew Spurck and Nick Herdoiza also picked up a pair of doubles wins, topping Widell and De Saint Laumer of Georgia Southern, 6-4, and picking up win on an injury walkover against Narbut and Mangiapane from UNC.
