Jovan Milicevic Earns A BIG EAST Conference Honor

CINCINNATI --- Xavier University sophomore Jovan Milićević was named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll on Monday, his second time this season earning that honor. Milićević, who scored a collegiate career-high 23 points on the strength of 5-7 3-point shooting in the Marquette win on Saturday, averaged 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in two games, an overtime loss at St. John's last Monday and the home win vs. Marquette.

Milićević shot 52.0 percent (13-25) from the field, including 54.5 percent (6-11) from 3-point range, for the week. He also earned the honor on Nov. 24.

Milićević, who is second on the team in scoring at 11.7 ppg., has scored in double figures in eight of the last nine games. He is eighth in the BIG EAST in 3-point field goals per game at 2.0.

Milićević is one of four Musketeers to earn a BIG EAST honor so far this season, joining graduate student Tre Carroll (Player of the Week on Dec. 8 and Honor Roll on Dec. 22, Jan. 19, Jan. 22 and Feb. 2), senior Malik Messina-Moore (Honor Roll on Jan. 12) and senior Filip Borovićanin (Honor Roll on Dec. 1 and Dec. 15).

Xavier, 13-12 overall and 5-9 in the BIG EAST Conference, hosts Villanova on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.
