Swimming Wraps Up Day Two at 2026 BIG EAST Championships

Musketeers collect four silver medals and new school record
OCALA, Fla. – Xavier men's and women's swimming wrapped up day two of four at the 2026 BIG EAST Championships, collecting four silver medals and a new school record.
Day three of the four day championship beings on Friday at 10 a.m. with prelims, with finals set for 5:45 p.m.

Day three of the four day championship beings on Friday at 10 a.m. with prelims, with finals set for 5:45 p.m.
WOMEN'S NOTABLE
- Ella Maxfield led Xavier in the 500 free B-Final with a time of 4:58.62. Abby Bocian placed 13th in the B-Final with a time of 5:01.07.
- Teegan Madara took part in the C-Final of the 500 free.
- Parker Mandacina led Xavier in the 200 IM B-Final setting a time of 2:03.65. Julia Sweetman touched just behind her in a time of 2:04.47.
- Ava Tenhundfeld, Ryon Argo and Karlie Dodd took part in the C-Final.
- Olivia Oyster set the top time in the prelims of the 50 free with a time of 22.61, placing second in the finals with a time of 22.76. Norah Simich finished second in the B-Final with a time of 23.52. Jordyn Libler, Abbey Fish and Maddy Lathrop took part in the C-Final.
- Norah Simich, Sydney Smith, Jordyn Libler and Olivia Oyster posted a time of 1:33.03 in the 200 free relay, placing fourth.
- Xavier is in fourth place with 288.5 points.

MEN'S NOTABLE
- Connor Lathrop took silver in the A-Final of the 500 free with a time of 4:27.08.
- Luke Peterson placed first in the B-Final of the 500 free with a time of 4:29.72 Ryan Knipp, Ethan Leamer and Nick Stroh also took part in the B-Final.
- Aiden Leamer led the Musketeers in the 200 IM, placing fifth in the A-Final with a time of 1:47.81.
- Nate Finnegan set a time of 1:49.82 in the B-Final of the 200 IM.
- Sean McGinley placed second in the A-Final of the 50 free, setting a time of 20.05, just .01 off Xavier's school record time.
- Truman Brun set a time of 20.75 in the B-Final of the 50 free to lead three Musketeers in the heat. Matthew Adanin and Josh Martin also took part in the B-Final.
- Sean McGinley, Aiden Leamer, Matthew Adanin and Kyle Hudson set a new school record time of 1:19:18 in the 200 free relay to place second to close out the day
- Xavier is in third place with 194 points.
