Xavier Wins Women's 400 Medley Relay on Day Three at BIG EAST Championships

2026 championship meet wraps up on Saturday, with prelims starting at 10 AM
OCALA, Fla. – Xavier swimming wrapped up day three at the 2026 BIG EAST Championship with a BIG EAST event title in the women's 400 medley relay for a second-straight year.

The 2026 BIG EAST Championships are set to wrap up on Saturday, with prelims set for 10 a.m.
WOMEN'S NOTABLE
- Norah Simich opened day two with a silver medal in the Championship Final of the 100 fly, finishing in 53.98.
- Julia Sweetman set a time of 56.80 and Emma Amon finished in a time of 57.40 in the B-Final of the 100 fly. Maggie O'Toole took part in the C-Final.
- Ava Tenhundfeld set a time of 4:28.28 in the prelims of the 400 IM to earn a spot in the Championship Final, placing eighth in the finals with a time of 4:30.61.
- Emma Tenhundfeld set a time of 4:25.71 in the B-Final of the 400 IM to win the heat, scoring in ninth place. Teegan Madara (4:30.75) and Ally Zaleski (4:37.12) took part in the B-Final as well and Ryon Argo swam in the C-Final.
- Olivia Oyster set a time of 1:49.83 in the Championship Final of the 200 free, taking the bronze medal.
- Sydney Smith set a time of 1:55.94 in the B-Final of the 200 free. Abbey Fish took part in the C-Final.
- Jordyn Libler set the third fastest time in prelims of the 100 breast with a time of 1:01.51. She finished fourth in the Championship Final with a time of 1:02.57. Parker Mandacina touched the wall just behind her in the finals, taking fifth place with a time of 1:03.11.
- Maggie O'Toole set a time of 55:63 in the prelims of the 100 back to earn a spot in the Championship Final, finishing in 55.71 in the final to place eighth.
- Emma Tenhundfeld scored in 11th place overall in the 100 back, touching the wall third in the B-Final with a time of 56.15.
- Xavier's women closed out the evening by winning the 400 medley relay for a second-straight year, with Maggie O'Toole, Jordyn Libler, Norah Simich and Olivia Oyster finishing in a time of 3:39.09 to take gold.
- The Musketeer women have 648.5 points, standing in fourth place with one day remaining.

MEN's notable
- Aiden Leamer, who set the second-fastest time in prelims for the 100 fly, opened up the finals on the men's side with a third-place finish in the Championship Final of the event, finishing in 46.88. Josh Martin finished sixth in the Championship Final with a time of 48.06, and Matt Fralic finished in eighth in the A-Final with a time of 48.28.
- Diego Valdes took part in the B-Final of the 100 fly, finishing in a time of 49.75.
- Connor Lathrop posted the second-fastest time in prelims of the 400 IM, following that with a silver medal in the Championship Final, finishing in 3:51.19. Zak Guenther posted a time of 3:56.40 in the A-Final to place sixth and Patrick Benington touched just behind him in seventh with a time of 3:57.25.
- Ethan Leamer (4:02.58) and Matthew Scicchitano (4:02.60) took part in the B-Final of the 400 IM.
- Kyle Hudson took the bronze medal in the the 200 free, setting a time of 1:37.79 in the finals. Luke Peterson also took part in the Championship Final, setting a time of 1:38.36 to tie for fifth.
- Nate Finnegan took part in the B-Final of the 200 free, finishing in 1:40.31 to finish second in the heat, and place 10th overall.
- Brayden Mandacina tied for fourth place in the Championship Final of the 100 breast, setting a time of 55.28. His prelim time of 54.93 was the third fastest during the morning session.
- Matthew Scicchitano took part in the B-Final of the 100 breast, finishing in 56.73.
- Matthew Adanin set a time of 49.69 to place seventh in the Championship Final of the 100 back. Truman Brun touched just behind him, placing eighth with a time of 49.82.
- Xavier's men stand in third place with 387.5 points.
