Tre Carroll Was Honored By The BIG EAST For The Third-Straight Week

Carroll has earned league honors five times this season.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier graduate student Tre Carroll has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll, the fifth time this season he has earned BIG EAST honors, including the third-straight week. Carroll was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday after averaging 21.5 point, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals in two games (Seton Hall on Jan. 28 and DePaul on Jan. 31) this past week, while shooting 51.6 percent (16-31) from the field.
Carroll leads the BIG EAST Conference in scoring at 18.3 ppg and is second in the league in field goal percentage at 50.8 percent. Carroll leads Xavier in blocks at 1.3 bpg. (sixth in the BIG EAST) and is second on the team in rebounding at 5.6 rpg. (tied for 11th in the BIG EAST).
Carroll was also named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Jan. 26, Jan. 19 and Dec. 22, while earning BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 8.
Carroll is one of four Musketeers to earn a BIG EAST honor so far this season, joining senior Malik Messina-Moore (Honor Roll on Jan. 12), sophomore Jovan Milićević (Honor Roll on Nov. 24) and senior Filip Borovićanin (Honor Roll on Dec. 1 and Dec. 15).
Xavier, 12-10 overall and 4-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, plays at No. 2 UConn on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
