Aiden Leamer Wins 200 Fly for Third-Straight Year on Final Day of BIG EAST Championships

Both teams finish in fourth place after four-day meet
OCALA, Fla. – Xavier men's and women's swimming wrapped up the final day of the 2026 BIG EAST Championships with a BIG EAST Championship in the men's 200 fly, and new school records in a pair of events. Both teams finished fourth in the team standings.
During the 2026 conference meet, the Musketeer women won the 400 medley relay, with Maggie O'Toole, Jordyn Libler, Norah Simich and Olivia Oyster making it back-to-back wins in the event for the Musketeers.
Xavier's women additionally had all-conference performances in six events: 200 medley relay (Emma Tenhundfeld, Jordyn Libler, Norah Simich and Olivia Oyster), 50 free (Olivia Oyster), 100 fly (Norah Simich), 200 free (Olivia Oyster), 100 free (Olivia Oyster) and 200 fly (Norah Simich)
On the men's side, Aiden Leamer won the men's 200 fly for a third-straight year.
Additionally, the Musketeer men had all-conference performances in 10 events: 200 medley relay (Matt Fralic, Brayden Mandacina, Aiden Leamer, Sean McGinley), 500 free (Connor Lathrop), 50 free (Sean McGinley), 200 free relay (Sean McGinley, Aiden Leamer, Matthew Adanin, Kyle Hudson), 100 fly (Aiden Leamer), 400 IM (Connor Lathrop), 200 free (Kyle Hudson), 200 back (Connor Lathrop), 100 free (Sean McGinley), and 400 free relay (Sean McGinley, Aiden Leamer, Matthew Adanin, Kyle Hudson).

women's notable
- Abby Bocian led the Musketeers in the timed final of the 1,650 free, placing 11th with a time of 17:11.02. Teegan Madara scored in 16th, Ella Maxfield placed 17th and Sydney Smith finished 19th in the timed finals.
- Emma Tenhundfeld set a time of 2:00.99 in the Championship final of the 200 back, placing sixth.
- Maggie O'Toole scored 10th overall in the 200 back, finishing the B-Final in second place with a time of 2:01.69. Julia Sweetman touched just behind O'Toole, placing 11th, and Abby Bocian scored in 16th.
- Olivia Oyster took the bronze medal in the 100 free, finishing in a time of 50.03. Sydney Smith finished 15th overall, competing in the B-Final, and Abbey Fish took part in the C-Final.
- Jordyn Libler set a time of 2:15.83 in the Championship Final of the 200 breast, placing fourth.
- Parker Mandacina won the B-Final of the 200 breast with a time of 2:18.63. Karlie Dodd placed 12th, Maddy Lathrop finished 15th and Emma Amon placed 16th, competing in the B-Final and Ally Zaleski took part in the C-Final.
- Norah Simich, who set the top qualifying time in the prelims of the 200 fly, set a time of 1:59.09 in the Championship Final to take third.
- Ella Maxfield placed 12th and Ava Tenhundfeld placed 15th competing in the B-Final of the 200 fly, and Ryon Argo took part in the C-Final.
- Abbey Fish, Maddy Lathrop, Julia Sweetman and Sydney Smith finished the 400 free relay in a time of 3:28.32, placing fifth.
- Xavier's women collected 1003.5 points, placing fourth in the team standings.

men's notable
- Ethan Leamer set a time of 15:40.01 in the timed finals of the 1,650 free to place fourth. Luke Peterson placed sixth with a time of 1:50.36. Nick Stroh placed 10th, Ryan Knipp scored in 11th. Owen Schwebach set a time or 16:12.34 and Caz Mikula set a time of 16:27.62 in the timed finals as well.
- Connor Lathrop, the top qualifier from the prelims of the 200 back, took silver in the Championship Final, setting a school-record time or 1:45.34.
- Truman Brun placed 11th overall, competing in the B-Final, while Nate Finnegan finished 14th and Matt Fralic placed 15th.
- Sean McGinley collected a bronze medal in the 100 free, finishing in a school-record time of 44.19. Kyle Hudson placed seventh in the Championship Final with a time of 44.33.
- Matthew Adanin took part in the B-Final of the 100 free, finishing in a time of 45.83.
- Brayden Mandacina set a time of 2:02.67 in the B-Final of the 200 breast to place 10th overall. Matthew Scicchitano finished 14th and Patrick Benington placed 15th.
- Aiden Leamer, the top qualifier in the prelims of the 200 fly, won the BIG EAST Championship in the event for a third-straight year, finishing in a time of 1:44.94. Josh Martin also took part in the Championship Final, finishing fourth with a time of 1:48.41.
- Zakary Guenther placed 10th overall, setting a time of 1:50.43 in the B-Final of the 200 fly. Diego Valdes touched just behind him in 11th place.
- Sean McGinley, Aiden Leamer, Matthew Adanin and Kyle Hudson wrapped up the meet with a third-place finish in the 400 free relay, setting a time of 2:57.74.
- Xavier's men collected 582.5 points, placing fourth in the team standings.
