PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Xavier men's basketball fell, 94-84, to Providence on Wednesday evening at Amica Mutual Pavilion.
The Musketeers moved to 13-15 (5-12 BIG EAST), while the Friars improved to 13-15 (6-11 BIG EAST).

Xavier returns home to host Georgetown on Saturday, Feb. 28, at Cintas Center. The Musketeers and Hoyas are set for a 1:30 p.m. on TNT + truTV.
ÂNOTABLES
- Xavier hit the opening basket to lead early, but after trading leads, Providence went on a 10-0 run to take a lead it would not relinquish. The Friars led by as many as 23 in the first half before going into the half up 13, 47-34.
- After trailing by as many as 18 in the second half, Xavier chipped away at the Providence advantage, getting within seven, 80-73, with just under six minutes to play, but a 7-0 PC run pushed the lead back to double figures, with the Friars winning by 10, 94-84.
- Roddie Anderson went 11-15 from the floor, finishing with a game-high matching 27 points.
- Filip Borovicanin scored 19 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
- Jovan Milicevic added 17 points for the Musketeers, grabbing eight boards.
- Tre Carroll finished with 15 points and had three assists.
- The Musketeers shot 50.0 percent (34-68) overall after shooting 60.6 percent (20-33) in the second half, while the Friars shot 54.1 percent (33-61) overall.Â
- Xavier went 5-22 from three while Providence hit 9-18 from outside.
- The Friars held a 34-33 advantage on the boards overall. Xavier out-rebounded the Friars 10-8 on the offensive glass, but PC had a 12-9 advantage on second-chance points.
