AUGUSTA, Ga. - Xavier women's golf placed sixth at the Valspar Augusta Invitational on Sunday. The two-day tournament was held at Forest Hills Golf Course.
Isabel Brozena took home medalist honors in a field of 88 golfers, posting a 54-hole score of 209 (-7). The sophomore hit eight-under-par (64)Â on Sunday, the lowest round score at the tournament. It is also the lowest round score in school history. Her 54-hole score of 209 (-7) is the fourth-best 54-hole score in program history, and third-best 54-hole score-to-par in program history.
Yale's Mia Sessa placed second in the individual standings with a score of 210 (-6), while Furman's Olivia Hasselbach finished third (213, -3).
The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 883 (+19), ranking sixth in a field of 17 teams. The tournament field had four teams ranked in the top-50 in the NCAA.
No. 34 Mizzou won the tournament with a score of 862 (-2), while Furman finished second (866, +2). No. 37 Kentucky placed third with a score of 869 (+5).
