Isabel Brozena Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

NEW YORK - Isabel Brozena was named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week on Thursday. She earns the honors for the third time her career.

Xavier women's golf placed sixth at the Valspar Augusta Invitational on Sunday. The two-day tournament was held at Forest Hills Golf Course.

Isabel Brozena took home medalist honors at the Valspar Augusta Invitational on March 15, posting a 54-hole score of 209 (-7). The sophomore hit eight-under-par (64) in the final round, the lowest round score at the tournament. It was also the lowest round score in school history. Her 54-hole score of 209 (-7) is the fourth-best 54-hole score in program history, and third-best 54-hole score-to-par in program history.

The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 883 (+19), ranking sixth in a field of 17 teams. The tournament field had four teams ranked in the top-50 in the NCAA

Brozena now has nine career top-10 finishes with two tournament titles.

Brozena and the Musketeers return to action on April 5-7 at the ECU Ironwood Invitational in Greenville, N.C.
