Men's Basketball Signs Two Brothers To Athletics Aid Agreements

Rolyns and Harrison Aligbe are the latest Musketeer signees.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University head coach Richard Pitino announced the signing of Rolyns Aligbe and his younger brother Harrison Aligbe to athletics aid agreements. Rolyns Aligbe, a 6-9 forward, played the last two seasons at Southern Illinois while Harrison Aligbe, a 6-8 forward, was a team captain this past season at St. Andrews Prep in Barrington, R.I.

Rolyns Aligbe, who was named to the 2025-26 Missouri Valley Conference Most Improved Team, played and started in all 32 games this past season for Southern Illinois. Aligbe averaged 9.5 points, a team-high 7.4 rebounds and a team-high 0.6 blocks per game. He ranked second in the Missouri Valley Conference in rebounding. Aligbe played in 31 games as a freshman in the 2024-25 season.

"Roylns is a perfect fit for our system," said Pitino. "He's a terrific rebounder with great potential."

Prior to Southern Illinois, Rolyns Aligbe helped lead Winchendon School, a prep school in Massachusetts, to a 23-10 record and the semifinals in the NEPSAC (New England Preparatory School Athletic Council) Tournament. He averaged 17.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game while earning All-Conference honors and also being named First Team All-NEPSAC.

"Harrison comes from a terrific prep school in New England," said Pitino. "He has a bright future and we are excited to work with him."

Harrison Aligbe averaged 17 points and nine rebounds this past season, while being named as a Class AA All-NEPSAC First Team selection. He posted a number of big games, including 27 points and seven rebounds vs St. Jude's Academy and 20 points and 15 rebounds vs. Worcester Academy.
