CINCINNATI - Xavier head women's basketball coach Billi Chambers announced the addition of Maria Anais Rodriguez to the 2026-27 roster on Friday.
Rodriguez spent the 2025-26 season at Arkansas. The 6-foot-1 forward played in 29 games (six starts) for the Razorbacks, averaging 5.4 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. She added 28 steals, 19 assists and 10 blocks.
"Maria is a tremendous addition to our roster," said Chambers. "She brings offensive versatility and a strong defensive presence. Her collegiate experience, along with a significant role with the Spanish national team, will lend well to her transition to the intense competition of the BIG EAST."
Prior to Arkansas, she played for one year at Oklahoma State. Rodriguez played in six games for the Cowgirls during the 2024-25 season, totaling nine points, eight rebounds and one assist.
The Barcelona, Spain, native helped her country to a 6-1 record and the silver medal at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women's Eurobasket Championships. She averaged 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists at the tournament.
