Men's Basketball Adds Veteran Forward Nikos Chitikoudis From Greece

Chitikoudis was a member of the 2025-26 Horizon League All-Defensive Team.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University head coach Richard Pitino announced the signing of Nikos Chitikoudis to an athletics aid agreement. Chitikoudis, a 6-9 and 215-pound forward from East Thessalonki, Greece, played this past season at Robert Morris after two years at North Carolina A&T.

"Nikos is a terrific addition to our basketball program," said Pitino. "He fits our system very well. He's tough, physical, and versatile. "

Chitikoudis, a member of the 2025-26 Horizon League All-Defensive Team, averaged 11.3 points and 7.7 rebounds for a 22-11 Robert Morris squad this past season, while shooting 54.7 percent (162-296) from the field. He played in 32 games, starting 27 times, while averaging 26.2 minutes per game. He scored a career-high 20 points vs. Oakland on Feb. 15, 2026.

Chitikoudis averaged 10.8 points and 9.3 rebounds as a sophomore at North Carolina A&T in 28 games with 22 starts before deciding to transfer to Robert Morris. He grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds in a game vs. North Carolina Central on Dec. 28, 2024.
