OKATIE, S.C. - Xavier sits in first place at the BIG EAST Championships after one round of action on Saturday. The three-day tournament is being played at Callawassie Island Club.
The Musketeers hit 301 (+13) in round one, two strokes ahead of Georgetown (303, +15). St. John's ranks third with a score of 304 (+16).
Individually, Madison Reemsnyder ranks first in a field of 42 golfers with a score of 72 (E). Seton Hall's Marta Aguilar and Georgetown's Georgia Ruffolo rank tied for second with scores of 73 (+1).
Round two is slated for 8 a.m. on Sunday.
