Volleyball Completes 2026 Roster, Adds FGCU Transfer Iyanna Battle

CINCINNATI - Xavier head volleyball coach Christy Pfeffenberger announced the signing of Iyanna Battle to the 2026 roster on Thursday. The middle blocker joins the Musketeers from Florida Gulf Coast.

"We are thrilled to add Iyanna to our roster," said Pfeffenberger. "To be able to bring someone in with her match experience and her selflessness will add a lot to our program. Iyanna will be a great fit for BIG EAST play."

Battle played in 28 matches (62 sets played) from 2023-25 at FGCU, helping the Eagles post a 72-21 (43-5 ASUN) record with two trips to the NCAA Tournament. The 6-foot-1 middle blocker totaled 75 kills, 47 blocks and 17 digs in three seasons.

During the 2025 season, Battle posted a season-high 11 kills at South Dakota on Sept. 12 and recorded a season-high eight blocks at FIU on Sept. 18.
