CINCINNATI - Xavier head women's basketball coach Billi Chambers completed her 2026-27 roster on Tuesday with the addition of Kejia Ran (kuh-JEE-uh rahn).
"Kejia chose Xavier because she wanted a place where she could be challenged, developed and prepared for the next level," said Chambers. "She is a high-level talent whose toughness, and work ethic allow her to elevate her game while also making her teammates better. We're thrilled to be part of her journey and look forward to the impact she will have on our program, our campus and Xavier Nation."
Ran was the 43rd pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream, becoming only the fourth Chinese player taken in the WNBA Draft.
The 6-foot-0 guard played for China at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup, averaging 19.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. The Dazhou, China, native added 3.1 assists per game at the tournament.
Ran led her team to a championship at the 2025 Chinese National Games (Youth Division), averaging 18.4 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. She also competed at the 2024 Chinese Youth Three-Ball Games, leading her team to a bronze medal and earning all-tournament first team honors.
