Brooklyn O'Brien scores the game-winner in the opening minute, Kieran Bradley adds a pair
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's soccer picked up the first win of head coach Katy Etelman's tenure on Sunday evening, topping Miami (Ohio) 3-0 at Corcoran Field.
Xavier took the lead in the opening minute, with Brooklyn O'Brien scoring from Regan Dancer for the first goal of the Musketeers' season. In the 33rd minute, Kieran Bradley made it a 2-0 Musketeer lead, scoring from Alexis Morrison and McKinley Berry for her first collegiate goal.
Xavier took the two-goal advantage into halftime, leading 5-3 overall on shots. Miami had a 3-2 advantage on shots on-goal, but Sami Lipcon collected all three saves in her first appearance as a Musketeer.
In the second half, the Musketeers out-shot the RedHawks 8-4, with four of those looks going on-frame while limiting Miami to just one look on-goal in the second half. Bradley broke through again in the 78th minute, scoring from Frances Reuland, to make it a 3-0 Xavier advantage.
Xavier finished with a 13-7 overall advantage on shots, and a 7-4 advantage on shots on-goal. Lipcon finished with four saves for the evening.
The Musketeers head back to Michigan next weekend, traveling to Ann Arbor to take on the Wolverines on Saturday, August 22, set for a 5:00 p.m. start.

- Kieran Bradley's first half goal marked her first collegiate tally. She finished with four points on two goals, marking the first time a Xavier rookie has scored twice in a game since 2024 (Samantha Erbach vs. Butler).
- Regan Dancer, Alexis Morrison, McKinley Berry and Frances Reuland all finished with an assist, marking the first point of the season for all four. The assist is also Reuland's first collegiate assist.
- Sami Lipcon played the full 90 minutes in-goal, finishing with four saves and no goals against.
- The win marked the first victory for head coach Katy Etelman, who was a four-time All-MAC player for the RedHawks during her collegiate career.
