Moriarty and Niesen Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Charlotte Moriarty and Kelsey Niesen were named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll Monday, August 31.
Moriarty began her season with a match-high 17 kills against No. 4 Pittsburgh at the AVCA First Serve Tournament in Milwaukee. Through three matches, the junior has tallied 43 kills and ranks second in the BIG EAST.
The outside hitter ranks sixth in points scored in the league with 45, averaging 4.09 per set.
Niesen had a career-high 27 digs against Ball State Saturday, August 29. Sunday, against Notre Dame, she had 17 digs.
The junior leads the league in digs with 54 through three matches.
The Musketeers travel to Atlanta, Ga. to compete in a tournament hosted by Georgia Tech. Xavier will face Campbell, Southern Indiana and Georgia Tech over the weekend.
