Flores Matches School Record, Xavier Finishes Third at Lady Paladin Invitational

Ivanna Flores hit 206 (-10) at tournament to place second in the individual standings
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Ivanna Flores placed second at the Lady Paladin Invitational on Sunday, leading the Musketeers to a third-place finish.
Flores posted a 54-hole score of 206 (-10), matching the school record for 54-hole scoring. Emma McMyler hit 206 (-10) in 2021 at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic. The second-place finish for Flores is the highest finish of her Xavier career and her first career top-10 finish.
The Musketeers placed third at the tournament with a 54-hole score of 861 (-3), the team's second straight tournament hitting under par (hit a school record 10-under-par 854 at the The Bruzzy on Sept. 9).
Alabama won the tournament with a score of 842 (-22) in a field of 12 teams. High Point finished second with a score of 852 (-12). Xavier and Furman tied for third with scores of 861 (-3).
High Point's Makayla Grubb took home medalist honors with a score of 202 (-14) in a field of 71 golfers. Furman's Olivia Hasselbach and Flores placed tied for second with scores of 206 (-1).
Under second-year head coach Stephanie Young, the Musketeers have posted eight top-five finishes with one tournament title and one runner-up finish. The team has also hit under par three times under Young.
